Introduction of the Growth Factors_PRF_CGF into modern dental practice. Blood sampling is done in the first place, and the blood of the patient is placed on a special centrifugal device. The growth factors (proteins) that we use in periodontology, cosmetic surgery treatments for the gum and many other oral surgery treatments are separated in a short period of time.

This modern technique is applicable in :

  • teeth extractions, in particular wisdom teeth and surgical ones
  • surgically placing implants in areas with large bone loss

In this way we minimize the possibility of inflammation, we reduce pain efficiently and promote healing with very good and predictable results in tissue regeneration (fast recovery and restoration).

After at least 2 months of their surgical placement, the implants have their permanent restoration with either dental crowns, bridges or detachable dentures. Many factors that a specially trained dentist can and must evaluate in order to achieve a stable and biologically tolerated result, affect the type but also the time of implant restoration.

Most of the time, a certain period of time is required after implant surgery until permanent prosthodontic restoration (minimum 2 months) is placed. Depending on the position that the implants are placed, the patient's profession, his natural activity, etc., we can demand that temporary prosthodontic restorations be placed directly so that the patient is not left without any teeth. These temporary restorations can be either a single tooth or a complete denture. They are supported either in the remaining teeth or in the gums or in mini-implants placed to that purpose. Except for the solution which they provide in the patient's esthetic problem, these restorations in some way prepare the area for permanent restoration.

The dental implant is made of titanium and simulates the root of the tooth. Its placement becomes surgically from a specially trained dentist, replacing the root from the tooth extracted inside the jaw bone. The surface of the implant is properly shaped, so that after its surgical placement it is inserted within the jaw bone and eventually one or more artificial teeth are assisted. The implant success rate is now quite large (< 90 %) from highly trained dentists, the duration of operation is limited and the endurance of the materials used is very long indeed. Modern technology with the use of special software also offers the possibility for anyone who wants to :

  • have specific placement of surgical implants in the ideal position for the best prosthodontic restoration
  • estimate the need of putting bone graft for a better esthetic and longer-lived prosthodontic restoration
  • reduce postoperative pain, oedema and surgical healing time
  • minimization of unpleasant surprises with predictable results during surgery

Effective treatment requires proper diagnosis. Diagnosis requires both clinical and radiological evaluation, while examining casts and diagnostic waxing are necessary when we have significant works in the mouth.  The examining casts provide us with the chance to examine information in a patient's mouth without his normal presence as much as we choose, whilst the diagnostic waxing allows us and the patient the opportunity to see the actual result of the procedure we intended to do and agree about our future actions together. It is an extraordinary diagnostic and predictive tool with no special high price for patients who do not want question marks and want predictable aesthetic results of high quality.

As time passes on, dentures need to be re-adjusted, mainly to add or eliminate content in several places so they can fit the changes in the underlying bone.Depending on the situation, this procedure may be completed either immediately in the clinic or, if assistance from the dental laboratory is available, in 1-2 working days.

A direct total denture are the total prosthodontic restorations that are constructed before the extraction of the remaining teeth, in order to be placed into the mouth right after the teeth's extraction. In this way the patient is not left (natural or artificial) without any teeth at all.

Partial denture is a removable prosthodontic restore that replaces one or more missing natural teeth with the surrounding tissues (gums and bone). These restorations are supported in the remaining natural teeth or / and in the gums and underlying bone, while the patient himself has to remove them regularly to clean them.

A total denture substitutes for all the upper and/or lower jaw teeth. Artificial teeth are supported in a pink acrylic plate that supports the gums and the bone underlying them. A total denture can be a one-way street, when the teeth have been missing for a long time, the jaw bone has been largely atrophied and there are also severe general health problems due to the advanced age of the patient. Consequently, implant placement is problematic. Total dentures can also be supported, for better restraint and less expansion on the palate, in a small number of implants or / and in the natural teeth roots.

Zirconium crown is an esthetic prosthodontic restore that simulates a tooth and is made of zirconium, a durable white-tint material. There is no metal on it, and we have a cosmetic result that is natural and of high quality, while at the same time it has long endurance. They are usually used in the front teeth, succeeding in a very impressive smile, but also in the back teeth, since they have long lasting resistance.
